What is the average class size at MCS?Although individual class sizes can vary, we recognize that one of our special attributes is our smaller classes. This allows us to provide an optimum learning environment for our students. The current student-teacher ration in the lower school is 17:1.

Is your school accredited?MCS is accredited through the Association of Christian School International (ACSI) and the Cognia.

What are the school hours?PK-K: 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Grades K-5: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Grades 6-12: 8:15 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.

Does your school require uniforms?MCS does not currently require uniforms, although a modest dress code has been established.

What kinds of student support services do you offer?MCS offers several different programs in support of the general curriculum. Some of these services require an additional cost. Tutorial Services Psycho-educational Testing Speech and Language Double Dose Reading & Math Intervention

Do you offer before and after school care to students?Extended Care is available for students up through 8th grade until 5:30pm for a fee. Some minimum and holidays are not available so please check with Ms. Kristi Kammeraad with any questions.

Is there a sibling discount on tuition?MCS offers tuition discounts to families with multiple students enrolled in K-12th grades. For the first child (enrolled in the highest grade) you will pay full tuition; the second child will receive a 10% discount, the third child will receive a 20% discount; and, the fourth child is free, and any children beyond the fourth will receive a 50% discount on tuition.

What types of athletics are offered at MCS?The MCS athletic program is a competitive program designed to develop skill and Christian character. In an effort to reach and develop students with varying interests, we offer the following sports: basketball, volleyball, soccer, cross country, tennis, baseball, and softball. Sports offered each year are based on the level of student interest. For specific information concerning grade levels of eligibility and other details, please contact the Athletic Department.

Are honors classes offered?Honors classes are available in English, Math, and Science to high school students who meet the enrollment criteria. Some honors classes give students the opportunity to receive college credit. Dual credit course offerings can vary from year to year.

Are your teachers certified?All teachers at MCS are required to hold current ACSI certification. All have bachelors degrees, and many have obtained advanced degrees.

May we tour the MCS campus?We encourage all prospective families to visit our campus, meet the teachers and staff, and see what Maryville Christian School has to offer. Admissions events are scheduled periodically throughout the year to provide an opportunity for you to visit. We will also be happy to schedule a personal, one-on-one tour during the school day.
